On premises, we also have a newly established bar”Villa Eshta Bar” that has been operating since July 2022. The space is equipped to host farmers markets, open mics, album releases, and any kind of events. Operating permits: When the property was acquired in 2014, the lot was residential, and had to be converted to a commercial lot. We then proceeded with the Hostel permits. Back in 2015, in Puerto Rico we did not yet have the legal framework for Hostels as it was still inexistent. We had to obtain the endorsement from the tourism Bureau to operate, and underwent public hearings. Once approved in 2016, our permit enclosed hostel, hotel and short-term rentals. In July 2021, we started the application for liquor and tobacco license. We obtained it in July 2022, and it includes alcohol, tobacco and food. Survived all disasters: Since Sep 2017, and each following year, PR has been affected by several disasters that greatly affected business throughout the Island. Villa Eshta was equally affected, however stayed open and easily went through theses challenges. The fact that we have several kind of accommodations, insured that we always had guests present. The fact that we are located in a prime area of San Juan, 2 blocks away from the beach, and situated in a very bustling and up-coming area also helped insure that we kept busy during external shocks. Furthermore, with the newly acquired permits, the buyer will have a wide of activities that could be implemented. We currently have accommodation, bar, cafe for hookah or cigars, public markets and restaurant.
